Brevard County: Real Estate at discount prices!

While many are afraid to buy (http://activerain.com/blogsview/96167/Why-are-buyers-affraid) real estate in Brevard County right now because of the perception that the market will decline even further, the truth is that Brevard County is one of the best Values in Florida. With many great schools, parks (http://www.brevardparks.com/index.php), hospitals (http://www.brevarddirectory.com/Healthcare/Hospitals), and amenities, there is no doubt that Brevard County has much to offer. However, unlike many other coastal areas to the north and south like Vero Beach, Stuart, and New Smyrna Beach, the Brevard County area has a much more sustainable economy with real wage jobs from major corporations like Harris (http://www.harris.com/), Northrop Grumman (http://www.northropgrumman.com/), DRS (http://www.drs.com/), as well as Mercedes Homes (http://www.mercedeshomes.com/), Patrick Air Force Base (http://www.patrick.af.mil/), and the jobs associated with the space program and NASA (http://www.nasa.gov/).

Great amenities, sustainable income from good companies, as well as the beaches and river, the Brevard County area has much to offer. Now, the value comes into play when you compare what you get for your money here verses other coastal areas in the state. Where else can you live on the barrier island, in a decent house for under 300K? What about living on a canal with deep water access for under 400K? I challenge anyone to show me livable homes in other coastal parts of the east coast of Florida for those kind of prices.

I have lived in Brevard County for over a year, and I do not think I will ever move out of the area. It has most of the luxuries of a major city, with very few of the problems. With no traffic or congestion, very little crime, and no problems parking where ever you go, I don't see why anyone would want to live anywhere else.

All in all, home prices in Brevard County are still relatively low as compared to most other coastal areas. You can still get properties at a discount, and there has been no better time to by than right now. If you are looking, or even thinking about purchasing a home, do not wait any longer. You may just miss your window!

It's not only Brevard, it's the entire Florida.
Broward county already shows 20% decrease in price since last year.
Taxes and insurance are just ridiculous now down there, that, when I have a buyer here from Florida, they ask me the property taxes. And When I say $650, they answer by a " Fantastic! $650/month is half of what we pay now!!". So I always have to say: "Oh no...it's $650 per year..". They sign the purchase agreement right there :D
