well I'm about to build a mortgage website so it is going to be brand new. My question is, how much content would I be able to get for a link? I'm not opposed to the idea.

Those same "authors" will then pay people to post comments on their blog to give the impression the blog is popular and has a "following".

I agree with you matt, but at times you have professional that can write to the taste of your visitors. And I guess what matters is making sure you get your visitors engaged and return.
