I have to agree, only because I actually did take the cactus photo. I use it on my Cave Creek, Arizona (http://www.phoenixhomes.com/PageManager/Default.aspx/PageID=972710) page... check it out! I know the page needs more content... funny thing is, the city pages that have less content show better in the SERP's. I wonder if it is because of the % of KW's, or ratio of KW's to regualr words??? Note my Carefree and Scottsdale pages have more content as those two I have worked on. But the others place really high in the SERP's, not those two though. Weird. Maybe I need to re-write the Carefree and Scottsdale pages with a higher ratio? What do you think, or anyone? Use the nav at the bottom of the page to move around all eight city pages.

Plus, the snowboarder has been my avatar for years now. Time for a change, that's why I used the Saguaro here from the sart. Change can be good!

It is obviously my favortie too. That is why I've used it so long. Plus it represents something I'm passionate about. I've been boarding for around 12-13 years now. Can't say I've ever owned a Saguaro Catus, or planted one, or... But it does freshen up my look, in my mind, since I've been looking at the snowboarder avatar for years now. The Saguaro is the first attempt at changing avatars since I learned about forums. Funny how I picked the pic of the snowboarder and stuck with it all this time.

As for which to enter... it is a competition, so I need to enter my best if I plan on winning. Not sure which that is though, so I appreciate everyone's input.

There is one forum I occasionally post to where one of the mods has such an UGLY avatar. He uses the face of an ugly man with long hair like a woman. Always smiling, always on a different and grotesque body. He must find it very clever and amusing but I find it difficult to look at.

I view avatars like a Rorshach Test and try to figure out what the person is trying to tell viewers. :cool:

I don't know who the photo is. It isn't Marg Helgenberger with red hair. She looks familiar, but the photo is small. Even if I could see it, I have no clue what the names are of the current roster of actresses, models, and so on are. Based on posture, body language, and hair style, look in a Victoria's Secret catalogue or something. It is a great photo for a bald three-foot troll.

What Google should have is a place where you plug in a photo and it tells you who it is.

This site had already been around for a year before the wayback machine got to it - so I'd had time to sort it out. Infact you can see it's predecessor very briefly at http://www.geocities.com/WallStreet/5108/ before it redirects to the new domain (and the new people). I've tried to kill that geocities account but as I can't remember the password, the username etc they won't let me in.

According to Yahoo/ Geocities they delete accounts that aren't maintained but I'd be surprised if any file on that site was less than 4 years old so you'd think it would be gone by now!

ProRENetrwork.com has much, much less to choose from on it's main page, why can't we? It makes it so much easier to navigate and to search through old topics when there is less.

One of my favorite forums has a private thread called "Happy Hour". There is no posting limit but a member has to request entrance via the Admin. Like Las Vegas, it is "What happens here, stays here." Not crude, but a bit spicy. IMO, there should be a certain number of posts required before entry is granted. ;)

Amber is great, I can tell you that. Others may be good as well but you always take a chance. The most important thing is quality of writing since those words will become a part of your web presence for a long tim down the road.

right, same here with posts I do on firetown.com, that domain is as strong as digitalpoint.com and will become a forum for anything. It is all about the domain name and how much the search engines like it. If you hang in for a few years without getting penalized, Google will LOVE your domain and rank you for basically anything. The only way to bypass this for a new one would be to get a DMOZ listing before anything else (have your site discovered FIRST thru DMOZ). That is the only thing I have seen where this has worked.

Anyways, thinking about some cool stuff to add here where ppl just hang out and chat about anything. May have to use firetown for that though, but then again, maybe it should all be here to make a difference in the real estate/seo world. heh

How about adding a "Just for Fun" section to this forum!

You could add sections such as:

- "The 3 Word Game" where members make up stories (real estate related, of course) posting only three words per post (up to a maximum consecutive posts) making a never ending story.

- "Real Estate Jokes"

- "Hot or Not" where members get to post pictures of people, celebrity, cars, objects, anything at all. Members then get to rate, comment or vote hot or not.

- "My Hot Realtor" or "My Hot Real Estate Professional" where members get to post images of realtors & real estate professionals they find attractive.

These are just a few suggestions. It would be nice to have a "just for fun" section where people could enjoy themselves as well. It may also prove to be an interactive forum for members.

What do you guys think??? Suggestions & feedback please! Post ideas as well. ........(Hey maybe I should just post this as a new thread?)
