OK, for reasons beyond the scope of public discussion I am asking for a site review of my real estate internet marketing (http://www.thekosloffgroup.com) web site. In the past, the site was geared towards general web design & SEO. Now I am targeting only the real estate profession. Who better to ask for a critique than the professionals on this forum?
Here are the questions that I am interested in:
1. First impression upon loading the site - professional presence or not?
I am not asking for comments on the design and layout of the site. Why? Because whether or not you like the design is based upon your own personal preference and bias. I have seen a ton of quality, professional looking web sites where I personally didn't care for the design or graphics. Now, assuming you came across this link in a search engine, I want to know if your first thought is that the site instills a feeling of confidence in your decision to click on the link.
2. After reading the main page, what page did you view next?
3. Was the ad copy readable? Did it flow, or did it seem fragmented?
4. Is the site too technical? Did tha language and terms used make you feel intimidated, uncomfortable, or techno challenged?
5. Did the site leave any of your questions unanswered?
6. Most important - does it sell? Does it make you want to take action? What is that action?
FWIW, for those that work on their own web sites these are some of the questions that you should be asking yourself. In the case of real estate web sites, there are a million of them out there - what makes yours so special and instills confidence in the prospective homebuyer?
Thanks for your help.
