Post removed - I felt guilty that it may be interpreted as spam.

That wasn't my intention. I was looking for honest feedback from my target demographic.

I wouldn't define a post by a moderator or a long-time poster as spam unless it was something completely off-topic & even then if it was placed in a close category it still should be OK.

The original post was asking for a critique of my main site by real estate agents on this forum. The site has been been revised and now only targets this demographic and not other general SEO/design markets. Rather than a general critique, I was looking for feedback on specific areas.

I debated whether to post here because some folks may have taken it as spam. However, since RE agents are my target market, I thought that I would give it a go. After all, others have sought my advice here, by PM, and by phone and this time I needed the advice. Add to that the fact that most of the agents here are the do-it-yourself type anyway and are not looking to hire someone for the services that I provide on that site. Still, I was hesitant to post.

So I made a rule with myself that if someone replied and mentioned the word "spam", even in jest, that I would pull the original post. Silly, huh? But those were the rules I set following the ethical debate that I had with myself.

Anyway, I pulled the post and it will stay that way. I may send a PM to a few folks and ask the questions directly.

I can understand and applaud your sensitivity to not have any appearance of spamming and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. From my perspective, any spam qualities that your post MAY have had (emphasis on 'may') are greatly outweighed by the pooling and sharing of such valuable information. And isn't that the true purpose of forums?

Golf Guy, I dont believe any of us took that as spam. I feel bad you removed it. This is why we all are here is to help and offer advice when ask for it. You are one of the main contributors here on the real estate forum. I can personally state that it did not bother me, if you wish to put it back up please do. Some of the members might learn something from your links and post.
