Blogger.com is a good blogging platform; however, I prefer wordpress as my blogging platform. Wordpress is free and really simple to use. Posts are easy, page management is easy, they have tons of plugins to add, and it already has plugins for search engine optimization.

Here is a quick blog I helped set up for a friend of mine. It's a RE Tips and Company update blog ... it took me literally 1 hour to set up pipelineproducer.com/blog . you can go to wordpress.com to set up.
