Hello Folks,

I'm pleased to announce a new website that I hope will benefit the real estate industry a great deal.

www.RealPinions.com (http://www.RealPinions.com)

I started working in the real estate arena by providing virtual tours. I was often asked about other topics... "Do you do flyers? Do you do websites? Where else can I post my listings?, etc."

A lot of agents I worked with also were either very non-internet savvy or admitted they simply don't have time to research all the topics and all the options within them.

I started reading forums like RealEstateForum, AgentsOnline, etc and was amazed at just how plentiful and complex it is for an agent to understand all the features and options available to them from the internet.

I then tried to find any sites attempting to organize this information in a valuable format and simply couldn't find anything but some sparsely populated sites.

So here's what I felt was needed was a website that:
1) categorizes as many vendors as possible in a well organized manner
2) allows agents to post their opinions of the vendors in the directory
3) allows agents to learn more about what the internet has to offer (how, why, when, where to use what)
4) actually has content - meaning there are vendors already listed - not an empty site waiting to be populated by vendors

I took a "build it and they will come" approach to this and it's time to launch this site.

I still have work to do on the knowledge base portion of the site but I think it's at a point where it can be a value as it stands today.

Please visit RealPinions and spread the word. The more agents and vendors that leverage the site the more valuable it will be.

I'm also looking for any feedback and information on problems you may see as the site is brand new.

Kevin

well, I took a quick glance at your site but I will try to put some more time into looking at it this evening when I'm at home. It seems pretty good, I like the idea of being able to research and check out some different products that could be useful. However, I'm a Loan Officer and to me some of the stuff just doesn't apply. I'm wondering if you are going to gear anything towards our profession as well.

You might already be but I haven't gotten to go too far into the site.

Thanks for the reply.

Wondering if you had a chance to check the site out some more.

I have some categories created to cover services that would be localized such as: appraisers, inspection services, virtual tour providers/photographers (often there are local vendors in addition to the national ones), and also Mortgage providers.

These can be entered by state. (I know I need to be careful coming from RI where there really isn't a difference between north and south ( )distance wise but if people want I'll be glad to add subcategories to further divide a state into smaller areas.)

Do you think that covers what you're looking for?
