I’m thinking that if people can sell cars, and paintings and all that stuff on ebay and craigslist, then why can’t I sell my house? Any thoughts?

LOL. Sounds like an interesting idea. Let me know how it goes. I’d be interested to know how it goes for you. Cause I’m trying to sell a house as well.

I was looking for places to put my house up for sale, and instead of ebay and craigslist, I found a site called (forsalebyowner.com). That seems more like what I’m looking for.

You can sell your house on Craigslist. Just make sure you have a well-written ad.

This is a spam thread. This little duo is going to every major forum and doing the same thing. Talking about how he wants to sell his home but doesnt want to pay a huge fee to a real estate agent. Then comes his hero who says, check out this for sale by owner site and he's like oh my god that site is awesome, thank you so much. LOL

I deleted them off of my forum and banned them.

Try a flat fee mls realtor or a for sale by owner web site. There are many ways like craigslist.

Sell your home by owner on the MLS or use a fsbo web site. Try everything. Signs. Most sales are through online web sites.

It is a great idea, years ago we put someones house on line so that he could sell it. Of course you do need it to be seen so marketing matters and yes craiglist and zillow are great ideas.:D

I’m thinking that if people can sell cars, and paintings and all that stuff on ebay and craigslist, then why can’t I sell my house? Any thoughts?

The home is spacious, has four bedrooms, a large den and a two car garage. It's located within minutes of high quality schools retail stores and a variety of recreational activities. Your local Real Estate Agent says the market is hoping and you see many homes move quickly off the market.
So why has your home languished on the market with no offers?

The longer a home sits on the market, of course, the more likely its asking price will be reduced ... and reduced ... and reduced again until finally, the seller is so anxious to unload the house that any offer will do.

In today's relatively healthy economy, in which there certainly isn't a shortage of prospective buyers in most areas, why do some homes simply sit on the market while others are quickly snapped up? You need to consider the pricing, condition, access and reality.

Moving from one house to another is both exciting and a bit overwhelming. There is a lot to do when you are both buying and selling a house. Although you want to negotiate a fair price on your new home, you still want to get the most you can out of your old home. There are a few things you should know before you put your old abode on the market. These selling house tips can help you get the most money for your home.
Whenever anyone goes to look at a home for sale the first thing they are likely to notice is the repairs that are needed. If you’ve got rooms that are in need of paint, or flooring that has seen better days, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Doing these types of small jobs yourself using inexpensive materials can make a huge difference in how the home looks. This is one of the selling house tips that virtually anyone can and should do.
Walk through the home before you call a real estate agent and look at each room. Clutter doesn’t do the home justice at all, so it’s best to hide any extras in boxes in the closet. If you have a lot of stuff and not enough room for all of it, you’d do well to pack it up and store it until after you make the move. One of the selling house tips that agents often share is to have the home looking spotless. You want the potential buyers to be able to picture what their belongings will look like in the home and that’s hard to do when all your treasures are in the way.
The exterior of your home is just as important. Some of us don’t tend to gardens or the lawn as often as we should. There are many selling house tips that apply to the outdoors, but the two most important are mow the lawn and weed the garden. You also want to brush up any debris that may have blown into the yard. You can take it a step further and give any wooden fences a quick coat of paint. Anything you can do outdoors to make your home look immaculate is what you need to be doing.
Fragrance is something most people don’t consider when they are getting ready to sell their home. If the real estate agent has set-up a time for an open house, light a candle or some incense. An inviting scent is best, something like apple pie or lemons. It can really make a difference in how people react to the home.
Taking the time to spruce up your place before you put it on the market just makes good monetary sense. You want people to be interested enough to make an offer. With a few selling house tips and some work, you can get top dollar for your old home so you can enjoy the new one even more.
