Last Sunday I managed to finish a half marathon in 1 hour and 57 minutes.

I had some vests printed with the real estate company's details on it and 8 of us ran in those. Bit of advertising wouldn't hurt ;)

Well, I don't usually talk about this. I'm into numerology and Feng Shui. My wife and I have been studying this stuff for over ten years and the results we get are amazing. Just thought I'd be bold to let everyone know.

Max,

Are the two related? (Feng Shui & Numerology)

G&S

MaxSinclair

Absolutely! There are 3 aspects that dictate how our lives go: physical (which is our environment - Feng Shui), mental (our free will, our knowledge, our determination), and spiritual (the life challenges that we were born to experience, to learn and to grow - which can be deciphered through numerology). We can connect the first and the last parts and help each person grow, but the mental part is totally up to the individual to decide. Am I making any sense? LOL.

Max,

I'm actually quite interested in learning more...I just finished the Compass of Zen a while ago, and it has definitely got my attention.
Any recomendations for books/ websites for those largely unfamiliar with the specifics of Feng Shui/ Numerology? Any starting points?

Thanks.

Sure. Try this. My wife operates this website:

ThreePennyLane.com (http://www.threepennylane.com)

She's been on ABC News and The Oregonian (the main local paper here in Portland).

You might also want to read more about the Enneagram. It'll fascinate you. Have fun!

Hey Carol,

I've only joined Todd's program a week ago. Haven't even got those CDs yet. How did you find it? I'm curious to know whether his system really generates any results.

Here's the link to the site again. I must have typed it in wrong.

It's basically just like anything else....an excellent program IF you follow it! We have kind of strayed from it a little and so we aren't seeing results like we did when we first started. My boyfriend (who is the agent - I am the assistant for now) and I went to Atlanta, Georgia back in March for a conference and met other realtors in the program. Some of them had amazing success stories! Very impressive. And Todd and Monica were great. He is very direct and to the point and really personalizes the program to each person. I liked it and look forward to implementing it once I become an agent. I write the test next month!

you will get out of it what you put into it. best of luck and tell todd and Monica hello from PEI!

Thanks, Carol. When I started to explore his contents and got some of his systems off the site, I felt that the copies were all so "sensational". I personally dislike sales people who give me a slick sales pitch so I find it a little hard to execute. But if it can generate results, I'm going to try it. BTW, I grew up in Toronto. Good to see another Canuck here!

G&S, you're so welcome!!! Let me know what you think.

Max,

I fixed the link to your wife's site on the first page of this thread. It did indeed not work.

For anyone who missed it, Max's wife's site is: http://www.threepennylane.com

Max, tell her she gets a free link here: http://www.phoenixhomes.com/FavoriteLinks/Default.aspx because i like her site, and your outlook on life!

This is a great thread. STVP, glad you started it. As you said, this can be a good place to hang out - like "Cheers" where you can be comfortable and where "everybody knows your name".

In my prior life when I lived in South Florida, I was a Psychotherapist. Over the years, I worked with different client populations: child abuse investigator, counselled victims of domestic violence, counselled incarcerated male *** offenders and substance abusers, Clinical Director of methadone clinic, counselled female substance abusers in work release center and finally, owned and operated brick and mortar dating service before I came out here to Vegas.

Now I operate several dating affiliate sites and write my content for websites. I love gambling on video poker slots and eating at buffets, spending time with my family and working out. Am an avid reader and hope to write a book in the near future. Need to do more things for fun though.
Tried to be as concise as possible. :)

WOW! And that's the same even backwards.

Didn't you get depressed working with all the *** offenders and drug abusers, etc?

My wife worked for CPS (Child Protective Services) for almost three years and came home everyday with a bad outlook on life. Kind of like being a cop, you only come into contact with bad people for the most part. So, you begin thinking everyone is a theif, neglector, or abuser, etc. Yuck!

My wife worked for CPS (Child Protective Services) for almost three years and came home everyday with a bad outlook on life. Kind of like being a cop, you only come into contact with bad people for the most part. So, you begin thinking everyone is a theif, neglector, or abuser, etc. Yuck!

I only worked with CPS for 5 months because it took an emotional toll on me. The great fear of the investigators was that we would make a bad decision and see the child's photo on the front page of the newspaper. Strangely enough, MOST of the reports were unfounded. This is because sometimes neighbors would be angry at each other and make a report to be mean. Also, sometimes estranged husbands would report their wives to be spiteful. Those things used to make me very angry because it was a waste of my time and upset the people I had to investigate needlessly. I feel that people who make frivolous reports should be punished!

Re: working with substance abusers was a very interesting lesson in human nature. Not at all depressing....counseling with middle class neurotics is gentle and the therapists guide their clients. Counselling substance abusers and criminals is more confrontational and you have to be very strong to work with them. I would like to write about my first hand experiences with these people. For instance, one Cuban big-time drug seller said that he assumed he would eventually be arrested. However, based on the money he made, he felt it was worth 3 years of his life in prison since he salted away several million dollars. (In Florida, convicted drug sellers get 3 years minimum mandatory prison time.)

This particular prison was not at all depressing. It was like a college compound inside with trees, a lake and tennis court. The guys were two to a room - buildings were called dorms. Each one had a key to his room. They had the freedom of the whole compound til dark. Then they could watch tv or play cards. Each dorm had two tvs. However, working there was in a sense like "doing time" since I had to be let out of the compound after work.

The women I worked with were on work release and the compound had no lock down facilities. It was an honor system. I felt privileged when these women would tell me their deep secrets - actually allow me into their mind. I feel I did a lot of good there based on how they reacted to me. One young black woman told me I was like the mother she never had. I had to set firm guidelines in the classes I taught or they would act like children. There was a lot of laughing and joking among us - not at all depressing. :)

Terri, you've got enough super rich content to write a novel. Ever consider that? I bet it'll be good.

Matt, thanks for adding my wife's site in your fav. We appreciate it very much.

Hi Max:
I have considered writing a book for a long time. Writing content for articles has given me even more motivation. I could not write fiction though. My style is more reporting. In college and in grad school, I always got A's on my research papers. My Sociology professor told me that she liked one of my papers so much she read it to her dinner guests. :)

Max, I just read your wife's tips for personal power and tips for the home and am going to put them into practice. Feng shui is fascinating. One of my BIG problems is clutter - piles of unnecessary paper and really should be addressed.

Unclutter the mind first... then all you see will be clear and peaceful.

Max, you're welcome. I feel I'll gleen enough positive advice from her site in the future so why not "pay it forward" so to speak and help her before she has even helped me.

Amber, I really never thought about the positive side of counseling. I alsways saw the bad side of CPS because it's what my wife dealt with. I also have a friend who is luitenant(sp?) for the Phoenix Police and he too thinks bad of people in general. It's really a shame.

Amber, remember to put your attention on your intention. You'll come out a winner every time and you can achieve anything in this world.

Matt, you're absolutely right about removing inner clutter. It keeps your mind calm and we'll end up making better decision. Unfortunately, I still can't do it. LOL.

Matt, you're absolutely right...

Damn that looks good on screen. I think I'm going to print it out and hang it on my wall to help me keep my chin up on tough days. :) It sounds even better than it looks. Say it a few times to yourself. Say "Self, I am absolutly right". Really, try it, you'll like it, especially if you're like me and don't hear that often.

Hmm Matt I have to agree with your Lieutenant friend. Of course, doing animal rescue you get more than your share of ***holes in general. That's why I love my pets. They are always happy to see you, never lie, cheat or steal (okay the occasional theft of lunch meat and such is permitted). I do think that people treat you the way you let them. </ rant>

when not doing real estate stuff (rare times indeed) I like to hang out with my 8 yr old or ride my motorcycle.
