Has anyone ever hired a telemarketing service to work for them? What were your results? Do you feel it was worth the investment?

I have personally made money from cold calling, but I hate doing it and it's an activity that I usually avoid. I'd rather pay somebody to do it if I feel the returns are worth the cost.

One company that I have interviewed claims that their telemarketers are Realtors, and they achieve about a 1% to 2% lead to phone call ratio (500 call usually results in 5 to 10 listing leads). They also claim that, based on the research, 40% of the leads eventually list their home (but not necessarily with the agent that got the lead).

They want $370 for 500 calls plus a $300 setup. They supposedly assume responsibility for Do Not Call Violations.

What are your thoughts?

I think its worth a try. Plus get back to me with the results if you do decide to give it a shot. I agree with you on the prospecting part of our business, but it is what drives our production.
