Hi I have been doing a lot of research into relocating to Portland, Oregon and its surrounding areas. My family is searching for a 3+/2 home. I am looking for owner financed homes, lease to own options homes, or zero down homes. Our price range is 300k and less preferrably a lot less. We are looking to move in to a home that is new condition 1990 and above.

This move will not happen until next year May but I was hoping to get some ideas as to what my options are. It would be a great help if someone could lend us some advice, we don't have the greatest credit but not the worst. We have fixed a lot of our credit issues but still no lender would throw us a bone. I am very leery about pulling credit reports again due to the fact that the score will drop everytime that happens.

Also do you think I am prematurely looking too soon, or am I doing the right thing. So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If your moving to Portland your first step should be talking to Max Sinclair. Read through the info on his website (http://www.maxwellsinclair.com/) then give him a call.

Melissa - keep working at the credit because even most owner carry contracts will require a credit report. If work is taking you to Portland you should be sure to know where work will be - an agent that knows the area can save you tons of time and dollars on a daily commute by helping you find a home near your place of business.

I am located in Portland, Oregon. However, I am not involved in residential sales. But, I can make a referral to several broker I would trust with my life.

If interested, let me know.

Best of luck!
