CRS and ABR

I am scheduled to complete my ABR in December and will be using it as 2 of my elective units for my CRS - I will still need 2 elective credits on the CRS - anyone attended any really good ones....

Those of you in Denver CO - would love to meet you face to face at the CRS class on November 14 and 15 - although I am from Oregon I will be attending and would love to have at least one somewhat familiar face.

Every CRS class is worth every penny it costs. I could take them all over and over again. So much information and inspiration!

I think the CRS designation is the most respected among other Real Estate professionals and so you get some street respect by having that one. Clients don't really know what all the alphabet soup is but other Realtors do so this can gain you some referrals. Wayne

I think ABS requires production, correct? I definitely want/will get the CRS because I want to be in this for the long haul, but for newbie starting out, should the ABS be the first designation to get or the GRI?

I am not familiar with an ABS designation. CRS does require production. You will learn a lot in the GRI designation program. My wife completed it her first year in Real Estate. Wayne

Accredited buyer Rep is the way to go in the beginning. I would caution getting/spending too much on certifications in the beginning. It would be a shame to decide down the road that Real Estate is just not for you. In the end, it will still be your personal relationship with the client that will matter the most.
