Hello Gang,
Blogging is something you definitely want to be doing, glad to see some real estate devoted to it here.
One point I want to make regarding search engine recognition of your blogs home page.
If your home page is always changing (not just growing and adding on, but completely changing the topic because of new posts pushing other posts off the home page), then search engines could have difficulty giving your blog a theme they can rank you for.
What is better is to have a static front page they well defines what your blog is all about.
At a minimum, I suggest 3 static pages (links) plus your blog link available from your all your pages.
Home: your static front page
about: a static page about you or your practice
Contact: a static page containing all your contact information and a form to allow your visitors to fill out if they like
Blog: click on this link and you get what you normally would see at most blogs, the most recent post, then the next most recent, and so on.
I work with a professional Wordpress theme that makes this simple as well as incorporates many other very attractive features not available in free themes.
If you want to know more about my solution, you have to send me a PM. Though I believe I have contributed value in this post, I have yet to post 15 messages (???) so I can't put a link in here. Sorry.
