Well there has been some speculation in this forum and others that Google was making slight modifications to their existing algorithm.

An interesting read can be seen at http://publications.mediapost.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Articles.showArticleHomePage&art_aid=27415

Only one good thing about this.......If it affects us, it will also affect our competition. If we have to start doing something different then so will they. Just Keep working!

Yeah some changes better than others if you know what I mean, but it is only a matter of time for our buddies. I believe google has been forced to make some changes due to the new MSN search. Google is not stupid, however they know they have an uphill battle with MSN for these so called money words and real estate is one of them.

From what I understand it was people that are Internet savy that made Googles reputation what it is. So everyone else listens to the "smart guy" and starts using G too. But Mr. Bill has a real advantage by having MSN the default search engine on all his browsers that make up 90% of the market. Combine that with good search results and a billion dollar budget and I'll be putting my money on MSN to take them out.

I am waiting for them to push the whole near me function to all consumers and that may generate enough interest to turn peopl toward there engine. but who really knows?

I like MSN except that it is too easy to get ranked. I hate to say it but I kind of like the sandbox because it discourages new seo's from continuing their quest to get me LOL.

It's funny we were all talking about this. I was prompted to "upgrade" my MSN messenger today. After the "update" was completed my homepage was changed to MSN, MSN became my new default search engine and a new MSN toolbar was installed onto my browser LOL! Nothing changed that I can see on the actual messenger and they didn't make it easy to get my settings back to normal. G better watch out........
