I like a nice clean site without too much on the home page. People mostly want to know where to go to look at homes. Give them a good MLS search and you're well on your way.

It has been my experience that it is generally the site owner (REALTOR®) that wants to clutter the Home page.

Ok, typing quick as the last time the post went in the "bit bucket" I probably took so long composing it that I got logged off.

Speaking of MLS listings on web sites, I have a techie question.

I know I can use PHP scripts and MySql database so that the office personel can build and update thier listings for their web site.

I think it would be smoother if I could just make the site have some type of "front end" that would query the MLS databases that the realtors and brokers are already paying a membership for the capability to do that themselves. The real estat people I am doing the web site for are not technical and when I as if it is legal and within the terms of service for their MLS membership (if that is the correct term) their eyes roll back in their heads. I guess they are to confused to ask the organizations they are members of.

Anybody here know if I can do this (automated query of the MLS database) and if so how would I get the technical detail on doing it?

The realtors now log on the their MLS member web site to do the searches/querys and I can probaly figure out how to "fake" out that process but DO NOT want to get them in any hot water for violating the TOS of the MLS. :rolleyes:
