Hello, my name is John and I am an undergraduate at Washington University in St. Louis. I have been interested in real estate from an early age (yes, seriously), because my parents made a good deal of money from the real estate market as a side-effect of changing jobs and moving in and out of homes throughout my childhood. It interested me. I do not know the first thing about real estate. I think I would like to get a real estate license in the near future. I do not necessarily want to be a real estate broker; I am much more interested in investing in land.

I assume that the people on this forum are much more knowledgeable about real estate than I am. Put yourself in my position. You are young, you have a lot of time on your hands, have virtually no cost of supporting yourself, and have a good amount of resources available to get started in any given real estate market. What would you do? Where would you start? What would you study?

All advice is appreciated.

John

John - I am also in the St. Louis area, let me buy you lunch!! I would love to talk with you about the St. Louis real estate market, and I can introduce you to a company that will put you on the fast track to learning about all aspects of the market. If your at wash u, your smart enough to recognize a good thing when you see it

Sounds like you will have a great opportunity to succeed. I would go for it if you think your personality will match up.
