Co-ownership

Okay I made a thread about this in the general forum but I will post it hear as well. hopefully some of you could help me. :)


Okay one of my friends was asking me if he could be a co-owner on a property with his cousin. The property was owned by his parents (he lived with his parents) but they filed for bankrupcty and his cousin bought it. Can he do it if he has the same address as his parents? Thanks.

The best thing to do is contact a real estate agent in the city you are at and/or contact a title company for more information.

If the friend has a loan on the property, you'll need to also check the terms of the loan. He may not be able to give up any interest in the property.
