Attention Agents,

Here is an idea that I would like to share with everyone!
A closing gift that will be remembered for all those new closings for the future!

Take a Picture with a digital Camera of the front of your new client’s home! Then have these printed aprox. 25 each on a nice sized postcard (glossy finish in color) with a picture of your client’s house on it. Then Wrap them in a small ribbon and deliver in a nice envelope.

Picture card layout like this: "Our New House" at the top with the picture of their new home (glossy finish in color) with a new address at the bottom. On the other side it has a place for a postage stamp, a place to write a friends address! Priceless for referrals $$$$$$$$

Happy Hunting ;)

Very nice idea. I would also make the suggestion to maybe also bring them a nice bottle of wine and some cheese. This way you dont look like you are just a salesman. I personally also include a gift card to Home Depot as well. Most new homeowners can always use something for their new home from Home Depot.

Awesome...I like the wine idea I will include that! ;)

Before you bring them alcohol, make sure that they drink alcohol. Some people that don't imbibe may become very offended at that gift.

Do you remember an episode of Trading Spaces a few years ago when Hildi papered the walls with wine labels and themed the kitchen around wine? It turned out that the couple did not drink alcohol and they were very upset with the whole kitchen makeover.

Alcohol can be a "hot button". It's a good idea - just be careful.

HHI Golf Guy...

You are exactly right...especially today! The last thing you want to do is to deliver a gift only to find out that the gift is not appropriate for the client!

Although I do have supplies to make a wine gift basket where I also include a wine bucket, matching coasters, wine glass charms, cheese, cheese spreaders, crackers, cookies, etc.; I only give this particular gift to people that I'm 100% sure of that consume alcohol.

Absolutely,

You can always substitute bottled water or Juice etc...Knowing you clients is the key to your future success! Both for that transaction and referrals for the future! ;)

Hey all,

We have a product at my work where you can upload all photos and homeowner info and it automatically formats a "We've Moved" deck of postcards (48 per deck). The back of the card has the new address and the agent info (optional, you can even co-brand with other agent or loan officer....very powerful). The front has the home photo and owner's name. Ships directly to new homeowner, or to your office in time for closing. Professionally printed on a press (no color laser) using glossy card stock. PM me if interested.

Good tips in this thread.
Glad I was around to read it...
I don't use to give anything to my client at closing...
I probably should...

Any ideas about what to give another investor who buys one of your homes?

That is a good idea, you can also make a nice hard cover book on Shutterfly.

Wow, I was very impressed with this great idea.

I like it so much that I might implement this marketing tactic in my business.

Thank you,
