I recenly signed an exclusive right to sell contract with an agent. Is there anyway to get out of this contract or negeotiate with the realtor and pay him for the time he currently has in it?

A lot of times, you can pay the cost to de-list it. It's usually only around $100. Most agents will let you . Out of curiosity, why are you pulling it?

I was thinking about pulling it because an ivestment company offered to buy it. However, they were offering way belowed what i paid for it. The realtor said I could cancel the contract for 500 dollars. I have decided to lease the property so i will not need to cancel after all.

We never charge our clients a fee to be released from a contract.

Being released from a contract is up to the actual broker many times, not the agent. All listings belong to the broker, not the agent. I have never heard of $100 to "de-list" a property. Many brokers will allow you to be released from your contract without charging you anything.

The Broker allows us to do just that. It is on a Case by Case basis.
Mostly depends on the relationship with the Principal
