Probate Real Estate Question

I live in the NE US and there are a tremendous number of homes for sale in my area these days. I'm really fascinated by real estate made available through probate. The executor of the estate is going to have a harder time than ever selling quickly to avoid more payments.

My question is has anyone successfully bought a home in probate for significantly less than market?
