Actually I am pretty sure in IL you can't do a mortgage on your own real estate deal. Not to mention you must be licensed.

If you look under the Illinois banking commision website you can find where it talks about the licensing option for realtors. In states that you are an employeed mortgage broker you can get paid on closing the loan. One of the guidleines is that you have to disclose that you are an employee of the mortgage company under their licenses.
