A client just had me go through his website recently and change every instance of the term "Realtor" to "REALTOR®."
Honestly, I think it was a wise choice. My opinion of trademarks and all that is not important here.
I do believe that if you're going to participate in the game, you should play by the rules.
I'm surprised more REALTORS® don't do this.
If you're interested, you can visit: the trademark manual (http://www.realtor.org/letterlw.nsf/pages/trademarkmanual) for REALTORS®.
Does it look a little silly? Perhaps.
But ... politics aside...
The code for the ® on a PC is ALT+0174. Just hold down the ALT key and type "0174" and you'll get the symbol. Even if you're writing HTML code.
I'm not being pious, just stating an observation.
I enjoy each and every one of you as I read through your posts. If I sound like the hall monitor, please forgive me. Maybe I've seen too many sappy REALTOR® commercials on HGTV late night. Ha, ha.
Have a good evening...
