Well I know its not a big milestone for most people but I broke the top 100 in google today. Its kinda funny because Im #1 for MSN and Yahoo for all 3 of my main terms yet im excited to break the top 100 in google. The site is only about 7 months old and I personally feel that is the main factor for not ranking in the top 10 for those keywords in google as well but if anyone sees anything that i could improve on please do tell.

Well done.
G usually take a little longer to improve compared to MSN and Y. Keep working on your IBL strategy.

I am hoping this is the hang around 100 period alot of people go through before jumping into the top 10. If not my site is only 8 months old so I wouldnt expect anything for a couple more months. I will continue to work on links, better conversion ect for my site.

Ah….Cedar City, are you aware of the work load that is coming. Keep up the great work. I know that it takes time in Google to recognized new web sites. I do think it is well worth the effort to get their. I am at the top of the major search engines in my area and many times of the day I get a little tired of answering my cell phone and the land line, not to mention the e-mails daily. I am thinking I need to make an adjustment in my business.

I'm in almost the same boat, I'm still in Google sandbox, but I'm moving out slowly. I'm #2 and #3 for my main keyword in MSN, but Google I'm 264, and IM SO HAPPY. Finally listed in the top 1000 in Google.
My site is 6 months old and I just broke the 300 mark. I have a lot of orginal content, lots of incoming one way links, 95% of in coming links are from related sites. The other 5% is real estate directories and junk sites that somehow link to me.
I'm glad to see that around 7 months I will be under a 100. I know my site will be top 10 as soon as I'm out of the time penalty/sandbox.
Keep me informed, I would like to see a month into the future. Your only 1 month older :)
Good luck

My domain name is almost 2 years old.... but I have never hit the top 100 of google... until I had sitetutor create my new site.... I have hit a couple good search terms in google - I was amazed to see a couple rankings in the 40's - very impressive - look forward to letting this season a little and see where I end up.

Well its a month later and I havent moved in Google. This search engine stuff is enough to drive you crazy. One day Im #1 in MSN, Yahoo and 100 in google the next day im #5 in MSN, 20 in Yahoo and still 95 in google. This is all while doing the same things that got me to #1. It really get annoying quickly. O well, I hope this level off here soon.

how can I check the rankings? And also, I still can't figure out how to submit my website to MSN.
cedar city utah -- all of the SE's are costantly changing strategies, especially Google ... being in the top 100 for now is most likely a mile-stone accomplishment for you, but just remember -- the other 99 above you are your stiffest competition.

how can I check the rankings? And also, I still can't figure out how to submit my website to MSN.Don't place too much emphasis on "Page Rank" as it's now a dead issue with Google ... as soon as I get my 15 POSTS, I'll give you the URL where you can submit your site to MSN!

It is nice to watch someone go from ranking low to ranking in the tops 10 for keywords on Google. there is a lot of traffic on Google and you can expect that 70% of all searchers for real estate are going to be searching through Google for their keywords

Keep up the good work. I had similar results with msn and yahoo and I was no where to be seen in Google. Now my site ranks in the top 3 for a number of my keywords on google. My website is just over a year old, so if you keep up the work you should see similar results.

You do realize that this thread was bumped from the year 2006.
And even if it wasn't, cracking the top 100 isn't something to get all that excited about anyway, IMO.

Has anyone else had high rankings in Yahoo and as your ranking rise in Google you rank goes down in Yahoo. I don't really care what I rank in Yahoo, but I thought that was interesting.

yeah google is the best thing I don't care to other SEs but maybe try to gather more backlinks if you want to rank in Yahoo, I guess it's still effective in yahoo.
