Yahoo Directory submission advice!

Being included in the Yahoo! paid directory does pay off. Just make sure that your contact us info and whois info is the way you want your title to be :)

Very interesting for us on being included in the yahoo directory. We were no where to be found in yahoo for our main keyword term. We did the paid yahoo directory listing, and immediatlely jumped to #18. A few days later we actually moved up to #13. But alas, last week we dropped all the way to #30. Very frustrating. Back to the drawing board :confused:

There is no real correlation between being in the directory and the Yahoo! SERPS.

Now I say that with a caution that a listing in the Yahoo! Directory is extremely valuable and should not be ignored for a multitude of reasons as Mike suggested.

Your site will need further optimization to rank higher, but it sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Being in the top 50 in a market as competitive as you are in is an accomplishment in itself. ;)

Don’t get discouraged about the ranking fluctuations. Yahoo! is tweaking their algorithm and that will happen.
