I have noticed that so many forums have more visitors than members. That made me think: Why don't all those people sign up?

I have asked myself lately and I think I know why:

People want info and think that reading thru the posts will help them find out what direction is right for them.

However, if you are a member and other members get to know you, that is when your road to success begins!

No man is an island. If you hide, you won't be found. being a forum member has countless benefits that you won't find thru "lurking".

I encourage every visitor to Register and Introduce him/herself !!! (http://www.national-real-estate-directory.com/real-estate-forum/forumdisplay.php?f=32).

I know from my stand point of being a viewer and a guest for so long is, yes I like to read what people post as far as info for different subjects but most of the time, I really don't have that much to say or add to the conversation, so I just sat back and enjoyed. But it can be more beneficial to be a part of the forum as a member, I think once someone adds themself as a member, they realize that as I did.

I used to do the same thing.

The real problem about that was that there were many subjects that I did not completely understand. I had 98% of the picture.

I finally overcame my shyness and asked questions about points I did not fully understand. I originally felt badly because I thought I was not really contributing.

As it turns out, there were many others like me that didn’t get the complete picture. So by asking questions, I helped fill in the gaps for others. That is contributing.

We have some great tech guys here, but some times they talk a little over my head, but as you can see by reading through the threads, all of them have been great about helping everyone understand the technical side better. Even the technically challenged like me. ;)
