It was suggested at another forum to get a group of real estate blog owners together and take turns blogging about each others sites. If we had say 20 owners we would all end up with 19 posts and links to our blogs. It's a glorified link exchange, but more in the blog tradition and all the links would be placed inside unique content. To add to it each post could also have a link to the blog owners main site, adds a little value for the effort.

I think Ken has the right idea.

I myself, read lots of blogs and when I come across a post that I can add a valuable comment to, I do. When I initially started posting on the other blogs I didn't understand the boomerang effect of those posts, but I see hits coming into my site that I know are direct results of those posts. And then I started noticing that people were adding links to my blog from their blogs, which is really nice.

So I don't think you necessarily need to agree within a group to post with each other, rather just as you come across a blog that posts information that you find valuable or maybe just fun, bookmark it, check it regularly and when you can add something worthy the host will appreciate it. Other readers will become curious about who you are and check out your blog and so the snowball just keeps getting larger.

I think the key is to always be respectful, just like in the forums. Read and follow the blogs for a while and get a feel for the owner and the guests that post. Now that I've typed this up - it's not much different at all than the forums. Just remember that the blog is someone's personal venue for expression and not necessarily an open forum for debate.

The concept behind shared blogging works best when the bloggers are all in the same industry and the same geographic location. However, the easiest way to create a shared blog system is to use the newly launched wordpress blog system (http://www.wordpress.com). This is a similiar system to blogger but has more options available . The two biggest improvements to the wordpress.com system is the ability to catagorize each post and also have multiple users.

I have created a shared blog at the following URL. http://retips.wordpress.com/ It is a CO-OP Blog. The focus of the blog is to have each user post at least once a week about their chosed community. Only one user will be allowed per community.

The value of this concept is that if each person posts once a week with a minimun of 50 words per post, the power of the blog will grow exponentially faster than having one user posting multiple times per week. As a result, the power of your link from the blog to your website will be exponentially more powerful due to the size of the blog.

Read the terms an conditions of this BLOG. This is located here:

http://retips.wordpress.com/about/

If you want to participate, email chieftutor@realestateforum.com with your name, website address, email and city of focus. I will then set you up on the system so that you can begin posting.

Let's create the largest and only COOP BLog on the Internet.

I'd like to get involved in this in the very near future. Right now, I have my hands full with trying to write content for my site.

Yes blogs are an essential parts of sites today. You can take a look at some blogs on my site virtualrealestatemall.com/blog/ I take the content then add to another blog and get internal links by doing that. You should take a look at the site and sign up. Its great because the more people on the site the more content and the more content the more the search engines have to pick up. The more they pick up with your content the more people find you when searching the web

Yes I qouted myself...to lazy to retype. This is going forward an i already have 7-10 agents with blogs that are interested. So if you are interested PM me your URL, blog URL, and e-mail address. We plan on starting next week with our first posts.

To get an idea of what will be expect of you take a look at this post about FineCoastalLiving.com (http://webnewsforus.com/blog/finecoastallivingcom/47). This isn't exactly what we will be doing, but it gives you an idea. Also I am asking that everyone write a quick post about my webnewsforus blog (http://www.webnewsforus.com/blog/), it's not required, but just a nice thanks for putting everything together.

Feel free to ask any questions in this thread or PM me.
