I noticed someone was selling Tom Hopkins and Brian Buffini materials in the "Barter and Trade" forum tonight.

Do you think the typical real estate agent seeks out these and/or other sales training materials?

I think that people who are starting out are always looking for the program that they can grab hold of and follow to success. Then if they are not successful, they have an excuse.

Remember, of the million realtors nationwide, over 50% of the them won't be in the profession in five years. These are the people who I beleive want these types of sales programs. They are not necessarily looking to succeed in real estate, they are really just looking to succeed in general.

Some good points. What about the other 50%? Where do you think they get their training?

I think that those who don't find training outside of their real estate office get training inside the office. For Example, Keller Williams works on a team basis and you join a team when you join their company.

Of course, that doesn't cover all real estate agents, but in general, good real estate agents are always trying to learn and go to seminars regularly to increase their knowledge base.

Just my two cents.
