Dmoz

I submitted my site for inclusion to DMOZ probably 5 to 6 months ago and it still is not listed. There is no reason why it shouldn't be included. Any body have any thoughts?

It's generally difficult to get a real estate site into dmoz, especially a template site. There might not be an editor in your area, your site might have too much dup. content like many template sites do (they like original content, and lots of it).

I have 4 sites, 3 of which are template sites. I have another site I've created from scratch but I'm still not ready to submit yet as I want to do even more work on it before I do. And I won't be surprised if it's never included even when I'm finished.

Although my website is a template site, over 80% of the pages on my site are original content. I have worked extremely hard to make my site the best real estate agent website on the internet. Most of the sites currently listed under the category in the DMOZ that I am trying to get listed in are template sites with very little original content. Google now ranks me on page one (often the first listing) for most of my key word searchs, and still DMOZ doesn't add me. I just think there must not be an editor for my category. Since I am now achieving high ranking on Google, maybe it just doesn't matter any more whether DMOZ includes you.
