Hello, I'm not yet a real estate agent. I am finnaly taking my state exam tomorow morning in Fresno.
Just wanted to be the first to post here. LOL

I am located in Salinas California, I have lived here all my life.
My wife and I are getting into the business together and are dreading the test but cant wait to be certified!

I got the results from my test, me and my wife both did pass it. We're both very excited about it. I cant wait to get out there and start some home selling and listing very soon.

I see what you wrote, very interested. Not to sound dumb, or disrespect you or your organization in anyway but, is this legal?
I dont in any way want to jeopardize anyone i work with, or myself and my wife in any way!

Depends on the state, but what inhouselender provides allows the little realtor working for a small independant firm to create an additional revenue stream from each deal. Many of the franchises offer in house mortgages so that they can get a bigger piece of each deal.

As a new agent however, I would focus on building your base of business before getting involved in trying to be a mortgage broker and a real estate agent at the same time.

No disrespect to inhouselender as I like what they are trying to do since it helps the little offices compete against the franchised offices, but as a new realtor, I would try to succeed at that before trying to do both.

You pass your test three months after I took my.

When it comes to doing anything other than real estate at the being do real estate.

There are alot of people out there that want to get you involved in everything but real estate. Stick to real estate.

If you havent got into a good company yet try Century 21. My company has a very patience manager. So it helps.

I was with another company and they pick and choose and dont help you get anywhere. So I wasted about 7 months under this company.

Now I'm just getting open house, thur other agents and that gets leads.

I almost had a listing but was taken out from under me. And that does happen. You just have to be strong. Keep going.

If you are doing more then 20 previews a week it is too much. The other company had us do 100 previews a week. And I couldn't get anythings else done.

So get in a good company. And work hard.

Be on guard of what others are throwing you. Exceptly loan companys. If you don't understand that area, dont do it.

It was hard to get where you are and you can lose it just like that if you dont protect your stand in real estate.
