Arrow National Home Buyer Survey for 2008

    Hello all,

Our company is sponsoring a new survey for market research. This survey is geared toward current home owners and home buyers, and will be gathering information about the habits of home seekers in the home search process.

We are sponsoring this survey in an effort to inform the real estate industry about the needs and preferences of today's home buyers, so that they can better understand their clients or potential clients and improve your home search experience.

I have included specific information about the survey in the General Information section of our blog, Real Estate 360[SIZE=-1]

Conducting a survey is a great way to gain some insights into homebuyers' wants and needs. I am a little bit curious to know how many people have been willing to fill out the survey.. Has it been difficult to get participants?

We just closed the survey a couple of days ago, and are in the process of reviewing the data and compiling it into a formal report, which we should be releasing to the public in early April.

Participation started slow, and we had to change some things around to ensure we were adhering to regulations. In the end though, we h[SIZE=-1]

I'm glad to hear that you managed to get participants, it is unfortunate that some real estate agents questioned your motives. They shouldn't be so worried about your ambitions and focus more so on their own goals.. That's my thought anyways...

Well, my feeling is that my company cannot do the job of a Realtor anyway we don't handle negotiations, we don't provide paperwork, we don't offer legal advice...), nor would a survey toward home buyers provide many leads for the kinds of services we provide. However, it has changed our outlook on the local market, and so even though our business is brand new, we're going to be taking things in a slightly different direction in the very near future.

I agree with you. The best way to be successful in any industry is to mind our own business. This is is a saying that one of my favorite mentors, Robert Kiyosaki, has elaborated on in many of his books and seminars. While this Realtor was so focused on making assumptions about my motives, she missed out on a free virtual tour from us (we have offered a few of these in our area to build up our portfolio). Meanwhile, the house we would have been filming for her has been on the market for over a year, with the sellers having moved across the country to Cali. We could have worked together to help the sellers sell that home faster, but instead she was bent on making an assumption about my motives that was never even implied...

On another note, the results we've review so fare are quite eye-opening. I'm excited about launching the report in April! I hope the results will be as helpful to both home owners and Realtors as they appear to be to us!
