I wonder if any of them can lend me money without buying a home. That would be the best real estate loan ever.

probably a good idea
Mike,
I am a mortgage guy. I have already met two people on this site and it is nice to learn new things and share what I know. I personally may be able to revive or save some scenarios. It can only help. I don't push what I can do but rather try to build relationships and maybe swap ideas or leads.
Good Idea.

Yes I have spoke to amf1 and he seems to be very knowldgeable and very nice. I would personally suggest anyone in Maryland give him a call as I dont believe you can go wrong. Real estate and mortgages go hand in hand, if either of these people are unprofessional or not very good at their jobs it makes it more difficult for the other one. I would even suggest posting information about different programs available, you would be surprised at what little real estate agents know about mortgage financing as well as most consumers. I would create maybe a section for consumers and one for real estate agents.

thanks
LVH,
Thanks for the kind words. I would also add that they show what states he/she is licensed in? For example, I am licensed in VA, MD, GA and CA. I do have one "agency" who has reps in VA, MD, DE, and PA.
If nothing else, agents can find out what services are available and what programs will help. People are so "rate" driven these days. In other words, I can price out your average loan officer because of my programs and the fact that I don't have to give any fee to "the house". This could give substantial savings back to the customer (ie. generate referrals).
I don't know if the average agent knows how easy 100% financing is. Are they familiar with option arms, 103%, stated for sub-prime borrowers, who writes loans for people with "open collections" to name a few. The list goes on and on. I have a portfolio lender who usese common sense underwriting. They once did 90% LTV with a 479 mid score. Almost anything can be done these days.
As I said before, it would be great to network if nothing else.

AFM, that sounds great, I am looking into it right now. I am not really worried about people pushing since I've been on forums a lot.

I agree
I agree. Sounds good. I will do anything I can to help out. I learn about the "other side" of the business, as much as I share my knowledge.
I look forward to working with all of you.
