Could someone explain to me how realestate affiliate marketing works?

I am pretty good at product affiliate marketiing and this sparked my interest.

Let me know what type of potential this has and the best way to get into it.

Start a real estate related website. Then put links to real estate related affiliate programs on it.

Forsalebyowner has one as well as other sites. What affiliate program do you guys use?

Its actually a hidden secret that most real estate people have no clue about. Bottom line is you sign up to sell a product (which you are then called an affiliate) and you promote the product to your targeted email database you have.....or....you simply put your affiliate link in the banner/graphic on your website and/or blog....and drive traffic to the persons website you are promoting....

When you drive the traffic to their website.....a hoplink or an "affiliate code" is deposited on the persons computer (who clicked through your link...if this make sense). If they end up buying from your efforts....you get a percentage of the sale...typically anywhere from 30%-$75% depending on the product !
